Security Case
Benetech Shipping SA confirms that our managed vessel, ZEFYROS (IMO:9515917) was involved in a security incidentwhen an unknown projectile struck in its vicinity on 11 March 2026 at 23:41 local time at Umm Qasar Anchorage near Iraq.
The incident occurred during a ship-to-ship transfer operation with an oil tanker, Safesea Vishnu.
All 23 crew members are safe and accounted for. They have been evacuated and were brought to shore.
We would like to thank local officials and port authorities for their assistance during the incident.
The condition of the vessel is currently being assessed.
We continue to monitor the security situation in the region closely and remain in contact with relevant authorities.
We will provide another update once there are new material developments.

Managing Director, Capt. Kostas Voulgaris had the pleasure of visiting our MT Rita M at Souda, Crete in Greece in 27th December 2022.
Amongst others, he had the opportunity to meet our crew onboard MT Rita M and spend some time during these festive and holy days, sharing local delicacies and Christmas traditional sweets.
